International law firm Latham & Watkins have announced that Aldo Piccarreta have joined the firm’s Milan office as a partner in the Corporate Department. Global law firm Linklaters have announced that  Patryk Figiel, head of the Projects practice, has been promoted to the post of counsel. Patryk is an authority in areas of law involving infrastructure and energy investments as well as natural resources and environmental protection. Patryk is an attorney-at-law (radca prawny) with over 15 years’ professional experience. He has led and executed a host of projects related to the provision of comprehensive cross-border advice in energy law issues in Poland and CEE countries, as well as infrastructure investments, including toll motorways. He has worked at Linklaters’ offices in Bucharest and Berlin, advising on renewable energy sources and on wind farm projects.

Law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP have announced that Kevin D. Finger has returned to the Chicago office of Chicago as a shareholder in the Litigation Practice. Finger will continue to focus his practice on complex civil and bankruptcy litigation, corporate compliance, and white collar criminal matters. He has substantial experience litigating in the bankruptcy courts, as well as handling high-stakes commercial litigation for major corporations and their officers and directors. He regularly represents large corporations and employees in government investigations, creating and implementing corporate compliance programs.

International law firm Pinsent Masons is launching a new base in Madrid with the hire of a team of partners from Spanish firm Ramon & Cajal. The team joining is led by Diego Lozano, a founding partner of the firm and head of its corporate and commercial department. He has held a variety of senior legal roles during his career, including serving in a number of Spanish Government ministries, as well as a spell as deputy general counsel of telecoms giant Telefonica. He is followed to Pinsents by Ramon & Cajal corporate partners Antonio Montero and Inma Castello and finance partner Idoya Arteagabeitia. The team launching the new office, which will open this May, is completed by two more partners – projects and construction lawyer Ricardo Garcia, who is joining from Madrid-based construction multinational OHL, and Spanish-speaking construction lawyer Sofia Parra, who is relocating from the firm’s London base.
