Global law firm Clifford Chance have announced that Michael Sabin has joined the firm’s Corporate team as a partner in New York. Sabin’s practice focuses on advising sponsors of private investment funds on structuring and formation matters. Sabin has acted for a variety of fund sponsors, including buyout, real estate, energy, infrastructure and credit opportunities funds, and hedge funds. International law firm DLA Piper have announced that Salla Tuominen and Mikko Luukkonen have joined the firm in Helsinki. Senior counsel Salla will be a part of the Corporate team. She has extensive experience of advising on and negotiating a wide range of securities markets transactions and corporate arrangements including cross-border mergers & acquisitions. She has in-depth knowledge of corporate governance and compliance issues. Salla also has experience of a wide variety of banking and finance work and financial regulatory issues. Mikko joins the DLA Piper Finance & Banking team as a counsel. He has extensive experience of advising on and negotiating a wide range of financing arrangements and corporate transactions. He specializes in banking and finance, real estate, M&A and corporate law matters for domestic and international clients and has been recommended for Banking and Finance by EMEA Legal 500.

Law firm Reed Smith have announced the formation of a new area of focus for the firm– Aviation and Aerospace Finance and Commercial Space Business – with the addition of two attorneys:  partner Elizabeth (Liz) Evans joins the firm’s New York office and senior counsel Delbert (Del) D. Smith, PhD will be resident in the firm’s Tysons office.  Both attorneys were most recently with Dentons, where Liz was the global co-head of the Aviation and Aerospace Group and Del led that firm’s Space Business Group.
