Baker & McKenzie has significantly enhanced its global antitrust and competition law capability with the appointment of Nicola Northway as Partner. Nicola joins from Barclays where she is currently Managing Director of the Global Competition Team overseeing the bank’s global antitrust and competition law capabilities. At Baker & McKenzie, Nicola will focus on supporting clients globally on their antitrust and competition issues while drawing on her broader regulatory, merger control, competition litigation, compliance and cross-border investigations experience.

Greenberg Traurig is pleased to announce that  Dmitriy A. Tartakovskiy has joined their office in New York City as a shareholder in its Global Corporate M&A Practice. Before joining the firm, Tartakovskiy was counsel at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. Tartakovskiy focuses his practice on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. He represents public and private corporate clients, private equity firms, and investment banks in complex domestic and cross-border transactions in a wide range of industries.

Jones Day has announced that Tom Wearsch has joined the Firm’s Business Restructuring & Reorganization (BRR) Practice as a partner and will be based in its Cleveland Office. He arrives from the Cleveland office of BakerHostetler. Mr. Wearsch advises distressed and healthy corporations, financial institutions, equity funds, hedge funds, bondholders, boards, management, and investors in all types of transactions and restructurings related to troubled company situations.

K&L Gates has added Steven L. Caponi as a partner in the commercial disputes, cyber law and cybersecurity, and intellectual property litigation practices. Caponi joins K&L Gates from Blank Rome LLP, where he was chair of the cybersecurity & data privacy practice as well as administrative partner of the Wilmington office. He frequently appears before Delaware state and federal courts, including the Delaware Court of Chancery, in addition to handling matters in jurisdictions across the United States.
