International law firm Dentons have announced that Giulio Andreani have joined the firm as Partner is the Tax Practice in Italy.  He joins along with a team of five, including senior counsel Giuseppe Ferrara, senior associates Irene Avanzini and Giacomo D’Angelo and associates Erika Andreani and Valeria Andreani. They will be based in the Milan office.
In 2016, Giulio Andreani was named “Tax Litigation Lawyer of the Year” at both the TopLegal Awards and Legalcommunity Tax Awards. He is also recommended by Chambers & Partners as one of the leading tax lawyers in Italy. Andreani is renowned for his experience in tax litigation, M&A tax structuring as well as in tax issues related to restructuring and insolvency.

Global law firm Baker McKenzie have announced that Bill Dugan has joined the firms Employment & Compensation Practice as a Partner, bringing extensive employment litigation experience, particularly in class action defense. Bill joins the Firm from Seyfarth Shaw, where he served as Chair of Seyfarth’s Financial Services Employment Arbitration Practice Group. He has represented clients in a range of high-profile class and collective actions.

Law Firm Mayer Brown have announced that Washington DC partner Charles Hallab, chair of the firm’s Middle East practice, has been appointed to the board of directors of the US-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC). At Mayer Brown, Mr. Hallab manages a variety of corporate and commercial transactions inbound to, and outbound from, the Middle East, with a focus on Gulf Cooperation Council countries, including Saudi Arabia. Mayer Brown have appointed Litigation & Dispute Resolution partner Sally Davies to the position of London senior partner. Sally has been elected to a five-year term effective 1 July 2017 and succeeds Sean Connolly, who steps down at the end of June after 10 years in the role.Sally joined the firm as a trainee in 1992 and was made a partner in 2001. In addition to her appointment as senior partner, Sally was recently elected to serve on the firm’s global Partnership Board. She is also an active member of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility committee in London.

The international Business Law Firm Clifford Chance have announced the appointment of six new counselor in the Paris office.

Marguerite Aynès , joined the Paris office of Clifford Chance in 2010, after two years spent with another international firm. Specializing in litigation, Marguerite intervenes in the areas of contract law, liability law (including product liability) in the banking and financial, pharmaceutical, aeronautics, mass distribution, telecommunications and energy sectors.

Auriane Bijon , joined Clifford Chance in Paris in 2007. She was seconded to BNP Paribas Corporate Investment Bank for 6 months in the securitization team (2010). Auriane specializes in capital markets. It supports both French and international banks, French corporate issuers and public bodies.


Sandrine Colletier, joined Clifford Chance in 2001, Sandrine served as a Deputy Advisor to the Latin American team at the ICC International Court of Arbitration. Sandrine specializes in international, commercial or other arbitration. She has significant experience in the aeronautics and energy sectors. She is also involved in regulatory and compliance matters.


Sohini Kar-Purkayasthaspecializes in the energy and infrastructure sectors and has extensive experience in project finance operations in Europe, Asia and Africa. She joined Clifford Chance in Paris in 2011 after starting her career in 2008 in the London office.


Alexandre Merle , joined Clifford Chance in Paris in 2016 after working for the Corporate M & A groups in Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York (2007-2008), Bredin Prat (2008-2012) and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP (2012- 2016) in Paris. Alexandre is mainly involved in mergers and acquisitions (domestic and cross-border) and equity issues.


Nadezhda Varbanova, joined Clifford Chance in Frankfurt in 2008 and then the Paris office in 2010. Specializing in the energy and infrastructure sectors, it advises investors, financial institutions, major commercial banks and credit agencies on international financial transactions.

Global Law Firm Wolf Theiss have named Thomas Anderl Partner  where he is specialised in construction law in the Practice Group Real Estate & Construction. He began working for the firm in 2012.
