Markus is currently a partner at US law firm White & Case. He will join the Clifford Chance partnership in December and will be based in the firm’s Frankfurt office.Markus Stephanblome is highly regarded as an experienced and versatile corporate lawyer and expert transaction counsel. He mainly advises on public takeovers, as well as private M&A and private equity transactions. He carries a strong reputation for his advice on stock corporation law and core corporate reorganisation matters. Before joining White & Case, Markus spent the first ten years of his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he advised on numerous transactions for listed companies.

Stefan Riegler is moving to Austria’s largest law firm. Riegler will lead the arbitration group of Wolf Theiss in Vienna and further expand its multijurisdictional arbitral practice.

 Stefan Riegler specializes in representing companies involved in commercial legal disputes before arbitral tribunals and can look back at more than a decade of experience in this area. Mr. Riegler worked for Wolf Theiss as an Associate in the years 2003-2005 before subsequently helping to build up the arbitration practice of Baker McKenzie, most recently as Partner. The focus of his arbitration practice includes post-M&A, banking, competition, insolvency and energy.
