Ashurst has announced the appointment of Paolo Manganelli who will lead the restructuring team in Milan. Paolo joins from Paul Hastings where he has been a partner since 2014. Paolo specialises in restructuring and special situations work as well as corporate, M&A and more general insolvency matters. He regularly advises Italian and international clients on export controls and international sanctions, assisting clients in assessing compliance risks and conducting transactions in compliance with the applicable sanction regimes.

Fernando has more than 25 years of experience, and has spent most of his career at Cuatrecasas, where he headed up the firm’s business law department for a number of years. He is one of Spain’s most highly regarded lawyers in M&A and Capital Markets work, including takeovers, IPOs, flotations, securities issue and placement, secondary offerings and follow-on capital offerings.

Baker McKenzie announced that Krzysztof Haładyj, Ph.D., has joined the firm’s Warsaw office as a local partner. He will strengthen the finance group and he specializes in capital market regulations, regulatory issues of public companies and investment funds as well as in banking and corporate law. He is the author of numerous publications on civil law, commercial law and capital market law. He has worked on many projects relating to the issue of securities and placing them on the market. He also advised on transactions for obtaining financing through the issue of bonds.
