Allen & Overy has announced the appointment of Marc Döring as partner to its international IP practice, based in London. Marc joins A&O from Simmons & Simmons where he was a partner and head of the IP group. Marc’s experience working with clients in the pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices and hi-tech industries – the sectors where the next generation of patent battles will be fought – will add significant strength to the existing high-quality team.

Dentons today named Mark Wege as a partner in the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice. He will be resident in the Firm’s fast-growing Houston office. Wege advises corporate clients on reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings and formal bankruptcy proceedings. His career includes extensive work with clients in the energy industry, including oil and gas exploration and production and petrochemical companies, oil field service companies and renewable energy manufacturers and providers.

K&L Gates LLP welcomes the former chief of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Office of Market Intelligence (OMI), Vincente L. Martinez, as a partner in the government enforcement practice of its Washington, D.C., office. Martinez will start with K&L Gates in September after nearly 13 years of public service that also included a term as the first director of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Whistleblower Office.

Norton Rose Fulbright has announced that Neel Lane, a nationally recognized commercial litigation lawyer has joined the law firm’s San Antonio office as a partner. Lane focuses his practice on complex business disputes, including high-stakes insurance litigation, class actions and reinsurance arbitration proceedings. His clients include life insurers, their affiliated broker-dealers, as well as property and casualty insurers. Lane has served as lead counsel in more than 30 jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations.
