Mayer Brown was named the recipient of the Washington Council of Lawyers’ 2017 Law Firm Award for the firm’s outstanding commitment to public service and bringing justice to the Washington DC community.
The Washington Council of Lawyers recognized the firm’s strong dedication to promoting pro bono service and public-interest law. The organization highlighted Mayer Brown’s involvement in its Spanish Language Exchange series, the Washington Council of Lawyer’s highly successful Poverty Simulations, a sold-out Activism Through Pro Bono panel and pro bono fair, and its program on the Experience of Immigrants in Washington DC Courts. In addition, the Washington Council of Lawyers recognized Marcia Maack, Mayer Brown’s Director of Pro Bono Activities, for being an active member of its board of directors and participating on several committees.
Washington Council of Lawyers is the public-interest bar association for the District of Columbia.
