A leading international law firm seeks a UK Qualified Banking & Finance Lawyer to be based in one of the following locations: Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest, Prague, Vienna, or Warsaw.
Our client is a leading international law firm, with one of the premier banking and finance practices worldwide, advises both local and international clients on a wide variety of legal matters. The firm is looking to recruit a mid-level or senior Associate with 4-7 years of experience in the banking, financial and insurance regulatory field. The firm has been regularly involved in major transactions shaping the business environment. Their operations focus on working with international investors on cross border work, including Central and South Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Russia, and Turkey and specialize in international banking and finance, capital markets, corporate M&A, and real estate transactions. They work for banks, investment banks, private equity funds, and major international corporations doing deals in the region.
With a strong focus on B&F, acquisition finance in various sectors the firm has extensive experience representing lenders, borrowers, buyers and sellers in complex, cross-border transactions in the CEE/SEE region. You will be working alongside UK Qualified Partners as well as other foreign associates on landmark projects. You will be capable of running transactions with little day-to-day supervision from the Partner in Hungary responsible for this practice. You will have plenty of opportunities to work with the finance practice of the Firm’s London and other European office). You will have primary responsibility (with the Partner) for further building out the practice.
The successful candidate will be a UK-qualified lawyer with between 4-7 years of post-qualified experience working with a leading domestic or international firm. Your experience will include regulatory work, as well as acquisition, project, asset and/or real estate finance and other finance (e.g.: secured and unsecured bond) transactions.
You should be a team player and commercially-minded, with a demonstrated ability to work proactively as part of a high-caliber team. You should be accustomed to providing top legal services in a focused and efficient manner. Your training needs to have been gained at a leading international law firm, where strength of experience and consistency of approach are considered key to ensuring clients achieve their goals.
