Their broad local and international capabilities are tailored to the increasingly global nature of business today, which often demands multi-jurisdictional, cross-border legal advice. The Bucharest office spearheads many of the firm’s high profile deals in the region, having successfully handled recent and significant matters in Romania and beyond.

They seek a Senior Associate to join their M&A team to advise multinational and Romanian industrial and service businesses, leading international private equity and venture capital funds, and major commercial and investment banks in structuring and completing domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity investments and exits.

The Role

As part of a dynamic M&A team, you will be active in supporting the creation of deal structures, and planning and implementing strategies for both acquirers and sellers in domestic, regional and cross-border transactions.   You will work closely with a market leading Partner with a top rate reputation in successfully negotiating and closing all types of transactions ranging from share deals, asset deals, leveraged buyouts, management buy-outs, to management buy-ins.   You will regularly handle drafting/documentation in English.

The Successful Candidate

To be considered for this firm, you should be a Romanian Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in M&A/Corporate. Experience in Employment law will be desired as well but not required. Your experience will have been gained at a leading international law firm working with diverse colleagues on complex international transactions. Candidates with broader practice group experience who can speak authoritatively about a wider range of issues related to M&A are ideal in this role.

Along with impeccable credentials, solid commercial skills as well as strong technical legal skills, you should be committed to providing clients with a superior level of service. Candidates with education or work experience abroad will be highly appreciated.
