Global law firm is seeking a Partner with transactional expertise to lead the corporate team.

Our client is an international law firm with over 4000 lawyers across Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pac and the Americas. With nearly one-fourth of their lawyers globally being attached to the corporate group, this firm has a leading global M&A practice that is second to none worldwide. They pride themselves on the execution of cross border global deals. The firm manages cross-border transactions seamlessly from planning/strategy, through the due diligence phase –to-post- transaction integration. Clients benefit from timely, pragmatic and commercial approach to problem solving that adds value to their business and enables transactions to come to a successful conclusion for all parties.

The firm is keen to expand the corporate practice in Bucharest with the right dynamic leader. You will be responsible for leading and taking ultimate responsibility for the management, profile and profitability of the practice. Your technical experience is likely cover cross-border public and private M&A, JVs, private equity, IPOs. You will have an excellent track record of developing a client base consisting of leading international and domestic corporations, private equity funds and investment banks. Your clients will testify to your unique vision, deep business understanding and ability to complete complex, multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions.

You will be a Romanian qualified lawyer with at least 10 years of experience/ 15 years + would be ideal. Your excellent leadership skills should include a proven ability to train and mentor associates in their career paths. Excellent communication skills are an essential part of the role in order to communicate internally and with key clients. You will commit to investing the time and energy required to provide clients with a superior level of service.

Only Partners with a minimum portable of 800,000 EUR will be considered plus a business plan that demonstrates further convincing increases in client portfolio while under the brand of this firm. Portability of clients is key at this level of hire as it clearly demonstrates your ability to forge strong client relationships.
