The Bucharest office spearheads many of the firm’s high profile deals in the region, having successfully handled recent and significant matters in Romania and beyond.

The firm seeks a talented Mid-level/Senior lawyer to join their M&A team to advise multinational and Romanian clients on industrial and service businesses, leading international private equity and venture capital funds, and major commercial and investment banks in structuring and completing domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity investments and exits. As part of a dynamic M&A team, you will be active in supporting the creation of deal structures, and planning and implementing strategies for both acquirers and sellers in domestic, regional and cross-border transactions. You will regularly handle drafting/documentation in English. You will work closely with a market leading Partner on M&A projects in the energy, pharma and regulatory sectors. Having proven your capabilities and earned trust of the partner, you will take the lead in overseeing transactions from start to finish, supervising the work of more junior team members and coordinating the due diligence process.

To be considered for this firm, you should be a Romanian qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in M&A/Corporate. Your experience will have been gained at an international or leading local law firm working with diverse colleagues on complex international transactions. Candidates with education or work experience abroad will be highly appreciated.

Along with impeccable credentials, solid commercial skills as well as strong technical legal skills, you are expected to have clear understanding of and adherence to ethical principles, company values, code of conduct and policies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cohesively with team members are key. You will be working on sophisticated and challenging projects that require multitasking and strong organizing skills as well as being able to meet the deadlines and handle the pressure well.
