Dentons’ Middle East Banking and Finance team advised on three award-winning deals at the prestigious Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Awards held in Dubai last month. The awards bring together the industry’s most high profile figures to celebrate excellence in the Middle Eastern and Islamic Capital Markets.
Dentons Middle East Managing Partner and co-head of Banking and Finance, Paul Jarvis, said, “Hundreds of nominations and thousands of votes were submitted for these awards, so we are delighted that three of the deals we advised on were recognised for their diversity and impact within the industry.”
The three award-winning deals are:
- Financial Institutions Deal of the Year was awarded to the Warba Bank US$250 million Tier 1 Sukuk. The transaction represents the bank’s inaugural sukuk issuance in the debt capital markets.
- Private Sector Loan Deal of the Year was awarded to the Ahalia Group US$420 million dual-tranche loan.
- Real Estate Finance Deal of the Year was awarded to the World of Wonders (Mapa, Gunal – MNG Group) AED750 million multi-tranche loan and Islamic facility. Dentons advised Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) as lead arrangers.
