Dubai – Dentons has been shortlisted for six separate awards in Legal Week‘s Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards 2016, including International Law Firm of the Year, Construction Team of the Year, Dispute Resolution Team of the Year, Regulatory and Investigations Team of the Year, TMT Team of the Year and CSR Team of the Year.

The annual awards, which will be announced on 12 May in Dubai, aim to recognise exceptional achievement by private practice and in-house lawyers working in local and international companies and law firms.  In the International Law Firm of the Year category, submissions were only invited from firms that were shortlisted following a poll of in-house counsel.

Commenting on the shortlist announcement, Dentons’ Middle East managing partner Michael Kerr said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted  across so many categories, and this is a real testament to both the quality of work we have been undertaking in the Middle East and the range of services we offer clients in the region and globally.  We are very much looking forward to the awards ceremony next month.”

Dentons’ presence in the Middle East is one of the largest of any international law firm and spans Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Dentons has advised clients in the region since the 1930’s and was one of the first international firms to establish in Jordan, Oman and the UAE.

In March, the Firm won the award for Best Middle East Law Firm at the 2015 EMEA Finance Middle East Banking Awards for the sixth time and earlier this year Dentons became the first firm in the Middle East to achieve the internationally recognised ISO 22301 certification for business continuity management.
