The international law firm Clifford Chance has advised a banking consortium consisting of BNP Paribas, Commerzbank, MUFG and UniCredit Bank on the issue of a € 600 million bond by O2 Telefónica Deutschland Finanzierungs GmbH.

The bond has a term of seven years, bears interest at 1.750% and is guaranteed by Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG.

With an order book of 2.7 billion euros, the newly issued bond was oversubscribed several times. The proceeds of the issue are used for general corporate purposes and are used to refinance a bond due in November 2018.
